Beagle Club update regarding March 2021 Open show and 2021 Championship show:
At a recent virtual meeting of The Beagle Club Committee it was concluded that the continuing restrictions attributable to the Coronavirus pandemic precluded running the forthcoming March 2021 open show. In the circumstances the Committee has regrettably decided that the show should be cancelled.
Both judges have been advised and invited to judge the March 2022 show instead.
12th and 13th June 2021 Gala Dinner and Championship Show.
At the same meeting, the Committee decided that the greater probability was that Coronavirus restrictions would remain in force to such an extent that it would be impossible to hold a gala dinner and celebratory show with judges coming from overseas.
It was therefore decided to postpone this special event until 2023 (subject to a KC licence being granted). We are delighted to say that both judges, Dr Oleg Voloshin and Mr Eddie Dziuk, have already agreed to accept these deferred appointments.
The Committee are holding open the possibility of running a scaled back championship show on 13th June 2021 at the RAU with one judge. Nikki Peterson has kindly accepted the invitation to officiate should it be possible to run the show.
The Committee will be reviewing matters at the end of February, by when it is hoped the Government will have provided greater clarity on the route out of lockdown and the timetable for restoring greater normality.
